Karol Gruszka is a journalist and producer at Polska Press, and the creator of interactive documentaries. In his work, he attempts to show that new media is not a threat but rather an opportunity for traditional journalism. He has been awarded prizes at a number of national competitions, including ArtFront 2015 and the Krystyna Bochenek National Journalism Contest. In 2014, he and Maria Zawała received the Grand Press Digital award for the Dziennik Zachodni journal for the use of modern narrative tools in editorial office work.
Maria Zawała – journalist, redactor of TVS television, author of medical series Kierunek Zdrowie ('Direction Health'), former deputy editor-in-chief of Silesion.pl, winner of many journalist prizes including the BCC’s Kryształowe Pióro, the Medical Journalist of the Year award (three times in a row) in the Silesia Press contest, and the Krystyna Bochenek Award (for the interactive documentary created with Karol Gruszka made for the Dziennik Zachodni).
