Animator, photographer, musician and misanthrope; he is self-taught in all of these areas. His many projects, including Kiszkiloszki, Death Fairy Tales and Hybridizer, are mainly based on public-domain materials. As a professional animator he works with a wide range of companies and organisations in Poland and abroad. Currently Obarski is working with the independent film studio ANIMAL on El Brujo, the first feature-length Panamanian animated film based on works by the country’s artist Julio Zachrisson.
