The HIDEOUT/ KRYJÓWKA
This is a personal story, a show that travels, a memory workshop, a meeting. To reveal a hideout, you have to enter it, into the inside, and then we’re close to each other.
And with us, a tangle of yarn, and:
Irena Solska – a great Polish actor concealing small Jewish children.
Aniela Anyżko – a dark-haired clairvoyant,
Apolonia - Zosia, who in laying her tongue on the frozen wall of the bakery, to finally, upon in, now thawed and swollen, feel for at least a moment the taste of bread, doesn’t know that years later she will lead a Hollywood director along the path of her escape from the ghetto.
And a child partisan, or a collaborationist policeman, or a poet, or a lout.
Ala. Ala has a cat. And the cat has Ala. That’s how the dream primer begins. The cat smiles, and the mouse eats time. The mice are thoughts. Your mice are hungry.
Who’s dreaming of whom? Who’s following whom? Who’s the leader in the dream labyrinth?
Through the looking glass is Wonderland. Every night you discover ever new paths in it. And you can compose ever more words from the letters of the dream alphabet.
Someday we’ll meet on the other side, and then you’ll tell me everything. And we’ll talk without running out of things to say. Till dawn.
