Cinematic VR, XR, AR, stereoscopy, interactive narratives, film essay and digital multimedia publications. This is the list of technologies and methods explored by the Visual Narratives Lab at the Łódź Film School. This is not just a where new narrative methods are explored, thanks to the possibilities offered by the ever more interactive and immersive technologies, but also a research (e.g. of the ethnography of film sets), conference and publishing centre. Vnlab pursues its own projects, but is focused on organising open competitions for artists. Winners will receive financial support to implement their projects at the lab for one year. One of the lab’s existing projects involves the live VR transmission of Chopin concerts with ambiophonic sound.
