“Warsaw Ghetto” is a unique information platform about the history of the ghetto and its inhabitants.
Created based on archive sources, bibliographic data, and (in exceptional cases) information sent in to the database authors. The platform offers several very easy methods of browsing the collection and discovering new connections. For records with attributed geolocation data, an interactive map is available. The map also enables users to employ historical city plans by Paweł E. Weszpiński superimposed over the map of contemporary Warsaw. An additional set of maps from Barbara Engelking and Jacek Leociak’s book The Warsaw Ghetto. A Guide to the Non-Existent City as well as a historical timeline make it easier to search for information and use the website for educational purposes.
