Konstelakcja
Konstelakcja is based on the phenomenon of emergence, in which larger units are created as a result of the interaction between smaller or simpler units. The basic module of Konstelakcja is a regular tetrahedron made of vacuum-formed material. Each module contains four light receptors, LEDs and a simple micro-controller. When one of the modules detects a sudden change in light intensity, it flashes and emits a sound, with a short delay. Thanks to this simple behaviour, the modules create something in the nature of “light dominos”. Users can set up modules in any configuration, which creates unlimited possibilities.
Konstelakcja was created on a commission from the Copernicus Science Centre for the Transformations festival in 2013.
