VR experience (HTC Vive), 2019
A humanoid, openwork object with a structure imitating black rubber is subjected to the manipulation by the user in virtual reality. The almost abstract form calls to mind its anthropomorphism, breathing and puffing. During the formation and throwing of the figure’s parts, the rubber ignites and smokes.
The free, immersive action is simultaneously a confrontation with a specific virtual organism, whose psycho-physical condition is expressed through a simulation of smoking rubber, but also through real technological immersion.
Rubberman, very flexible and almost inert, at the user’s disposal.
