How would Warsaw look if the Second World War hadn’t broken out?
Wykreślona Warszawa (Crossed-Out Warsaw) is the first and only such project that shows how Warsaw would look if the war hadn’t happened. Using virtual reality technology, users will have a unique opportunity to step back in time to the 1940s and see an alternative history of the city.
The application is the culmination of our years of research and reconstruction work. Fascinated by the designs of Warsaw buildings from the 1930s, we decided to “recreate” in virtual reality the exceptional Modernist buildings which because of the war were never built.
The application premiered in May 2017 during the European VR Congress in the Copernicus Science Centre, where the prototype we presented met an enthusiastic reception and very broad interest.
