LutoScratch is an installation that allows the audience to create music at their own pace. It comprises three projections, with a percussion work, combined with DJ turntables. The viewers can use the devices freely, achieving an effect of controlled aleatoricism.
“You can use the turntable to scratch, to rewind the recording, slow it down, arrange it yourself,” says the artist, Paweł Janicki. “We have three tracks simultaneously, so we’ll hear the kinds of shifts we get in Lutosławski’s technique.”
