A virtual journey following Jerzy Kukuczka brings together detailed information about his expeditions, testimonies from other mountain climbers as well as photographic documentation and audiovisual footage. It consists of 14 chapters presenting Kukuczka’s early mountaineering years as well as his most important climbs. With information about each of the ascended mountain peaks supplemented with a map of the climb and a short video, the website presents the extraordinary life story of one of Poland’s best-known mountain climbers in a way that eschews the need to read Kukuczka’s biography to understand the impact of his feats.
The website also presents Jerzy Kukuczka Memorial Chamber located in Istebna’s Wilcze hamlet, while the Archives tab compiles the collected multimedia resources.
