Central Jewish Library was created to present the Jewish Historical Institute collections online. With its launch, these collections are now more accessible and facilitate research as well as discovering and learning about Jewish history.
The library was created first and foremost with historians and genealogists in mind, who are offered a number of search tools to aid them in their work on the digitized resources. The collection objects can be filtered by donor, author, co-author and publisher. Collections include magazines, archival and museum materials, photographs as well as the Underground Archive of the Warsaw Ghetto (Ringelblum Archive), which is one of the most important testimonies to the Holocaust in Poland.
The collections made available through the Central Jewish Library have been developed by the Jewish Historical Institute Academic Team and its Digital Laboratory.
