BLACK SUN
BLACK SUN is an audio cinema programme in which the sense of sight is switched off. Placed around the space of a theatre stage, the audience members become actors in a screening they imagine themselves. Words and sound act on them. It’s dark. Black. There’s no screen and no image. But when there aren’t enough of the expected stimuli, the mind itself begins to create an imagined surplus. There begins a joint production of afterimages, hallucinations and delusions. The word takes on psychoactive properties. Recollection of what is not begins to act on its own account...
