The neurophysiology of the artist in performance
“The neurophysiology of the artist in performance” – experiment _e1/2015-2017/2018
This project, led by Viola Kuś, is a search for new forms of recording fleeting works. During seven experimental sessions, with the participation of 18 artists, techniques were used including EEG, sound recorded with video, measurement of sound intensity. As a result, a unique database is created, which will contain information on the emotions and reactions of the performer’s body.
Wacława Kuczma's performance, second trial of the experiment _e.1/2015-2017 FUNom, in cooperation with Neurocognitive Laboratory ICNT in Toruń / test of the mobile lab tool B-Alert x24 qEEG with 100% audio registration / op. Łukasz Kędziora (B-Alert) & Kamil Kęska (audio).
The project seeks answers to questions such as: Does using a measuring device determine the action of the artist on the emotional, physical or aesthetic level? Can magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination be a tool to collect information about the activity of the artist’s brain during a performance?
