REC (Random Eye Check)
REC is an interactive installation that addresses the current condition of post-digital culture, which on the one hand means a flood of an unimaginable quantity of digital data (including information, photos and films), and on the other the constant monitoring of the movements of residents, and control of network users.
It seems that today’s society is open to the adoption of many forms of supervision, particularly those that create the impression of not imposing limits, but rather bringing the comfort of benefits (e.g. in the form of a feeling of security). Increasingly often we are forced to accept the fact of collection of data about our lives by virtual methods, whether we like it or not.
